Some tips for you to use

Just another WordPress.com weblog

Save YouTube videos on your harddrive

Don’t you hate it when you get on your Favorites on YouTube and see that one of your videos is no longer available? With mediaconverter.org you can have all your videos on your desktop for your constant viewing pleasure completely free! I was looking for a simple file converter so i can easily watch my favorite clips or listen to my favorite song. I fell upon Mediaconverter.org and really like it. It is very easy to use and so quick in converting files. As you see in the pic below, in order for the conversion to take place – you must copy and paste the link of your video into the Conversion Wizard. Next step, choose the type of file you want to turn it into. For a video you can choose mpg. There’s a neat box that says save default setting, so you don’t have to keep choosing those options if you have more than 1 file to convert. Once the file is converted – it will then ask you to download the file on your desktop.

I started using it for videos only, until i realized that i can take my favorite songs from YouTube and convert them to MP3 files, to which i then burn onto a music cd. The quality is just as good as if you’re listening to it online. Some other file types that can be converted are  flv, 3gp, wmv, mpg, mp4, avi, psp, ogg, mp3, wav, doc, xls, ppt, odt, ods, odp, pdf and many other file types. Also if you can’t find what you’re looking for on YouTube – try these other sites: youtubetomp3.net, Break.com, Dailymotion, LiveVideo, MetaCafe, or Veoh.
